Excellence, integrity, reliability and great to work with is what comes to mind when I think of Parker Brown. With the complexities found in today's construction projects knowing we can count on the contractor as a partner is priceless."

One of the most challenging – yet rewarding – aspects of our work is a project that demands preservation of a historical structure.

We were honored last week by the Los Angeles Conservancy for our work on the Childhood Development Institute restoration of an iconic vacant  library in Canoga Park. The folded roof line was something that everyone who passed the library knew. In fact, many of the workers on the project remarked about how they used to visit the library when they were kids. But it was shuttered about a decade ago when Los Angeles began a campaign to build modern libraries. Ironically, the Canoga Park branch was part of a library restoration program in the 1950s.

Now that we have restored the building, it is a thriving place for CDI and – once again – is a great place for the children of the Valley.

We encourage you to visit the links on this post and read more about the building, the project and our partners.
