Preserving History

We are proud to have played a significant part in the earning of a 2014 Conservancy Preservation Award from the LA Conservancy.

Parker Brown Inc. was the general contractor on the transformation of the former Canoga Park library into an Early Learning Center for the Childhood Development Institute, This building is now a resource for neighborhood families.

The LA Conservancy is honoring our team at an awards ceremony on July 31.  We worked with CDI and architects, Carde Ten Architects, and landscape architect, Russ Cletta Design Studio, Inc.

Here is some information from the Los Angeles Conservancy website.  This was a challenging, but fun project for us. The building has a unique design with its iconic zigzag roof. We had to preserve much of the building while bringing it up to code. We had a terrific team of engineers from various disciplines to work with on this effort.

It is a building known to everyone in Canoga Park and we are happy to preserve it.
