The team from Parker Brown won two gold awards and a silver award at the San Fernando Valley Business Journal 2018 Commercial Real Estate Awards event.
This event recognizes the top projects and brokers in commercial real estate in the San Fernando Valley.
Parker Brown’s tenant improvements at Gelb Enterprises captured the gold award for tenant improvement projects. Walk into the Gelb Enterprises offices and see the open layout, exposed ceilings and glass partitions throughout most of the perimeter office walls. Light shines throughout this modern space. There are tile and wood floors throughout. Parker Brown also did improvements of the entire second floor corridors and restrooms. Owner Rickey Gelb has been a Parker Brown friend and customer for years and we are so proud he trusted us with this 8,220-square-feet layout in the heart of Warner Center.
Our project for UCLA Health in Encino also won a gold award, this time for medical projects. We were pleased to do the build-out on this 12,671-square-feet cancer infusion site. It also houses general medicine, X-Ray, Ultra Sound and Dermatology specialties. Up to 16 patients at a time can receive cancer infusion treatments. GP Architecture – Eric Endres and Gonzalo Pedroso – were our partners on the project. We are so pleased to work on a project that alleviates the suffering of those with cancer.
Finally, our major facelift at Victory Shoppng Center in North Hollywood won the silver award for retail project. The buildings and facades at this larger-than-usual strip mall center received a beautiful makeover. Kornwasser put the resources behind it and Parker Brown did the heavy lifting. A new 18,400-square-feet building houses Blaze Pizza and Chipotle. Parker Brown demolished 15,000-square -feet building to make a new home for Petco and a 50-feet tower. There were remodels and facade work for CVS, LA Fitness and Vallarta grocery store. With a very tight timeline, project manager Kevin McLean and supervisor Mark Bray did an excellent job.
